The movie which featured Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar and Sukanya, was also India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language film at the Oscars.

Though there had been talks about a possible sequel, the announcement came in November last year, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday. Lyca Productions that produced the director’s previous movie, 2.0, is financing the movie. Kajal Aggarwal is the female lead in the movie marking her first collaboration with the director and actor.
