Mumbai Cyber Police have filed an FIR (First Information Report) against comedy group All India Bakchod – AIB for “allegedly” insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a meme-tweet.
HT reports that an FIR has been registered under Section 500 of Indian Penal Code which is for defamation and section 67 of IT Act (Punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form), at the Cyber police station in Bandra Kurla Complex.

A lookalike of the PM was spotted at a railway station. This immediately caused Twitter to erupt in memes. The comedy group jumped into the bandwagon with their meme which irked quite a few.
Severe backlash which also lead to the group deleting their tweets.
