Music director-turned-actor GV Prakash, who is happy with the recent success of Sarvam Thaala Mayam, is all set to work with Thulladha Manamum Thullum fame director Ezhil. The new team started working on the film this Friday, after a pooja at a temple in Chennai. Produced by Abishek Films, the shooting commences in March.
The film’s producer Ramesh P Pillai is also bankrolling a movie directed by Sasi, starring GV Prakash and Siddharth. It is said to be a mega budget film. The production house has earlier distributed hit movies like Aranmanai 1, Chennai 28 II. Their new film with GV Prakash and Ezhil is a comedy entertainer. C Satya is the music director for the film. The other cast and crew members will be announced later.

In 2017, director Ezhil made Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen, starring Udayanidhi Stalin and Regina Cassendra. The film was an average hit. He is currently directing Jagajala Killadi, starring Vishnu Vishal and Nivedha Pethuraj, which will release later this year. Ezhil started his career with the blockbuster hit Thulladha Manamum Thullum, and mostly made soft genre films. He took a break after making Deepavali in 2007, and made his comeback with Manam Kothi Paravai in 2012, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. He also produced the film. Now it seems like his focus has shifted to comedy-centric films, especially with his last few movies like Vellaikaara Durai, Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran.
GV Prakash, who has a handful of films, is actively juggling music direction and acting projects. He is currently composing for director Vetrimaaran-Dhanush’s Asuran. As an actor, his films 100% Kadhal directed by Chandramouli, Ayngaran directed by Ravi Arasu, Adangathey directed by Shanmugam Muthuswamy are awaiting release in 2019. He is currently working on Vasantha Balan’s Jail, AL Vijay’s Watchman and other three untitled projects.
