The team behind the long-delayed Enai Nokki Paayum Thota began its final schedule recently. An announcement regarding this was made on the official social media page of the production house. A new first look will also be released on July 20.
According to the spokesperson, the film team is contemplating a Diwali release. “But anything can change,” they said.

M Sasikumar began filming for his role in the movie. He reportedly plays Dhanush’s brother. A photo from the late-night shoot of the film was posted by Gautham Menon. Incidentally, all three men are directors themselves.

Starring Dhanush and Megha Akash in lead roles, the film was announced in 2016. A song – Maruvaarthai Pesadhe, was released in early 2017 and went on to become a favourite with the audience. Two more songs – Naan Pizhaippeno and Visiri, composed by Darbuka Siva, were released.
Initially scheduled to release in February 2017, the film kept running into production issues, which meant that it was delayed indefinitely. In between all of this, Gautham Menon went on to work in Dhruva Natchathiram with Vikram, while Dhanush began work on his Hollywood film – The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir. The team briefly resumed filming in December 2017.
A teaser of the film shows Dhanush as Raghu, a college student. Megha Akash reportedly has the role of an actress Lekha, in the project. Sunaina has a special role in the film, according to reports.
Madan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures is a producer on the project along with Menon through his Ondraga Entertainment.
Jomon T John and Manoj Paramahamsa will be jointly credited for the cinematography of Enai Nokki Paayum Thota. Interestingly, Menon kept the identity of the music director a secret for a long time. Darbuka Siva was unveiled as the music director only recently.
