Kamal Haasan has begun shooting for the Tamil remake of Drishyam. Tentatively titled Paapanasam, the film has real life couple Kamal Haasan and Gouthami Tadimella in the lead alongside Nivedha Thomas, Kalabhavan Mani and Asha Sharath, as reported earlier this month.

We hear that the team is currently shooting at a bus stand in Tenkasi, and a huge crowd has gathered near the spot. A picture circulating online shows Kamal Haasan sporting a thin mustache and looking every inch the middle class dad while Gouthami looks demure in a saree. Nivedha Thomas and Baby Esther are also seen with them.
The director of the original, Jeethu Joseph, is at the helm of this project as well while legendary writer Jayamohan has penned the dialogues. Ghibran will score music while actress Sripriya’s Rajkumar Theatres Pvt Ltd will bankroll it.
