After leaked photographs and videos of Rajinikanth and Vijay Sethupathi from the sets of Petta went viral, the film’s director Karthik Subbaraj has requested fans to not share them. He also slammed a Tamil news channel for broadcasting these images and said it was an unethical act.

On Thursday, a fan of Vijay Sethupathi leaked a video from the sets on his Twitter account; it showed the actor walking with a gun in his hand. However the video was later deleted.

The working stills of Rajinikanth and Sasikumar were also leaked. It is said that the actor-director will play someone close to  Rajinikanth, like Janakaraj in Baasha and Samuthirakani in Kaala.

The stills of actress Trisha were also released. It is said she might play a homemaker in the film.

Following the leak of the videos and images, it is reported that the producers of the film have put in place strong security measures on the sets. It is also said that only the core team will be aware of the the shooting schedules and the scenes to be shot for the day. Only the required crew will be allowed on the sets and mobile phones have been banned too.

Earlier, a working still from actor Vijay’s Sarkar, directed by AR Murugadoss, was leaked online in which the actor is seen walking with a file in his hand; lawyers are seen in the background.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Petta stars Rajinikanth in the lead. Simran, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Simha, Megha Akash and Sananth play important roles too. Produced by Sun Pictures on a lavish budget, the film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
