Dileep: Special Investigation Team To File Chargesheet With New Evidence Soon

Malayalam actor Dileep, who was recently granted bail in the abduction and assault of an actress, is likely to have an additional chargesheet filed against him. According to Deccan Chronicle, the Special Investigation Team (SIT), are planning to present more scientific evidence before the Angamaly magistrate court.

After the the full scientific analysis results are out, the chargesheet’s process will be completed, with the SIT planning on recording witness statements from more than 20 people from the film industry separately. By doing this, the SIT plans on closing all loopholes, they tell Deccan Chronicle.

Early this month, Dileep was granted bail by the Kerala High Court. This was his fifth plea for bail, and the third before the high court.

The 49-year-old actor was arrested on July 10 as part of the conspiracy behind the abduction of the actress in February this year. He was lodged at the Aluva sub-jail for 85 days.

The court granted him bail under multiple conditions, including a bond of Rs 1 lakh. His passport has been withheld by the court, and he has been strictly instructed to present himself before the court upon the demand of the investigation officers.
