Cinematographer Jomon T John will soon begin work on actor Akshay Kumar’s next film. The Malayali cinematographer joins the likes of KU Mohanan and Sanu Varghese who have stepped into Bollywood. The film also marks director Priyadarshan’s return to Bollywood after the film Rangrezz, which released in 2013.

Priyadarshan is currently riding the wave of his recent Malayalam film Oppam’s success. His upcoming Tamil film Sila Samayangalil has made it to the final round of selection for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards
The film will be produced by Rohit Shetty. Jomon shared a photo with the Dilwale director on his Instagram page recently.
This would be the first full length Hindi feature film Jomon is working on. He has already filmed a song for Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film Rock On 2.
Jomon began his career with the 2011 Malayalam film Chappa Kurish. He garnered attention through his work in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Thattathin Marayathu. He won the Kerala State Award 2015 for his work in the films Ennu Ninte Moideen and Charlie.
Although he filmed a few parts of the 2014 Tamil film Bramman, his first full length Tamil film will be Enai Noki Paayum Thota featuring Dhanush, directed by Gautham Menon. Jomon is married to Malayalam actress Ann Augustine.
