Catherine Tresa has reportedly signed up for Vijay Devarakonda’s upcoming movie. The shoot is set to begin by February.
Catherine was last seen in the Telugu film Nenu Raju Nenu Mantri, and hasn’t had a release for over a year. She is rumoured to be part of Santhosh Srinivas’s upcoming Ravi Teja film, a remake of the 2016 Vijay starrer Theri. She might share screen with Kajal Agarwal in the film.
In Tamil, she last worked on Kalakalappu 2, her only release of 2018.
A source in a DC report says about her upcoming film with Vijay Devarakonda, “After Nene Raju Nene Mantri, this is going to be another good role for Catherine to showcase her performance.” Her role is said to be a substantial one.
The film reportedly has three heroines – Aishwarya Rajesh, Raashi Khanna and the Brazilian model Izabelle. It is directed by Kranthi Madhav, of Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju fame, and is rumoured to be a comedy. It is produced by KS Rama Rao under the banner of Creative Commercials. Music is composed by Gopi Sundar.
Vijay Devarakonda was last seen in Taxiwaala, and is currently shooting for Dear Comrade. After its completion, he will start work on the Kranthi Madhav film.
Catherine Tresa has five films lined up for release this year. The first one is Sundar C’s Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, featuring STR in the lead role, with Megha Akash as a second heroine. Catherine also has Neeya 2 and Aruvam in Tamil, and her Malayalam comeback after seven years with Aanenkilum Allenkilum opposite Fahadh Faasil.
