Superstar Rajinikanth and National Award winning director Vetrimaaran are most likely to team up for a film. A source privy to the meeting tells Silverscreen, “Vetrimaaran recently met Rajinikanth for a script discussion. The director has narrated a story scripted exclusively for the Superstar. It looks like it will proceed further.”

Vetrimaaran is currently working on Vada Chennai with Dhanush. The team has completed the first schedule in the set of a jail erected in Chennai. After a month-long break, the shoot will resume next month.
Rajinikanth is shooting for Ranjith’s Kaala in a set of Dharavi erected in Chennai; the schedule will be completed by August-end. Once Rajinikanth wraps up Kaala and Vetrimaaran completes Vada Chennai, they may team up for this film. If things work out, this project will be Rajinikanth’s next after 2.0 and Kaala.
