The legal issues surrounding Baahubali 2 have been resolved. A petition filed by S Karthikeyan, a Chennai-based financier against SN Rajarajan of K Productions (who bought the TN theatrical rights of Baahubali 2), demanded an immediate stay on the film’s release. The issue pertains to the time when Karthikeyan loaned an amount of Rs 1.48 crores to Rajarajan when the latter produced Savaale Samaali.
After reviewing Karthikeyan’s petition, the bench at Madras HC said that a stay on the release of Baahubali 2 will not be entertained.
Baahubali 2 will now release as planned on April 28 (tomorrow). The film has Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles, and is directed by SS Rajamouli.
