The title of the film – Kanaa – which translates to ‘dream’ in English, comes with the tagline ‘Dream Big’. Speaking about the film, Arunraja said: “I have done a lot of research on this subject. I observed that while 1,000 boys attend cricket division selection matches, only 60 girls participate in the women’s cricket division matches. My script will throw light on the struggles of one such courageous woman. Though it is a sports film, it is also an emotional drama involving a man and his daughter who aspires to become a cricketer.”
