Popular YouTuber Vijay Kumar Rajendran, who is better known for his comedy channel ‘Eruma Saani’, is now venturing into full-time filmmaking. His directorial debut has just been announced. The film will feature Arulnithi in the lead, and is being produced by Aravind Singh for MNM Films.
Speaking to the media about this development, cinematographer-producer Aravind Singh said, “The film is loosely based on real-life incidents and is set in a college. When Vijay narrated the script, I was very interested. We already had Arulnithi in mind for this role. I have been the cinematographer for five of Arulnithi’s films, and I know that he will handle this concept well.”
His channel ‘Eruma Saani’, has given Vijay a fan following, and this helped start his career in films too with supporting roles. Aravind Singh said, “Since Vijay has become such an important part of the comedy portions of films, he is in high demand. I am happy about his new journey, and happy to produce his debut film.”

The film itself is in a very nascent stage since discussions are still on about the hiring of the rest of the cast and technical crew. Official announcements will be made soon.
Arulnithi is now awaiting the release of Kalathil Sandhipom produced by Super Good Films’ RB Choudary, in which he stars alongside Jiiva. His other untitled film is being produced by 5 Star Kathiresan and directed by debutant Innasi. It has wrapped up shooting and is now in post-production.
