AR Murugadoss’s next Bollywood film has been titled Akira, said a Deccan Chronicle report. The film, which has Sonakshi Sinha in the title role, is a remake of the Tamil film Mounaguru.

This is Sonakshi’s second film with Murugadoss who entered Bollywood in 2008 with the remake of his Tamil blockbuster Ghajini. Last time, Sonakshi was seen in Murugadoss’ Holiday, which had Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Mounaguru was released in 2011 and was directed by Santhakumar. It had Iniya and Arulnithi in the lead roles. Akira will have director Anurag Kashyap in a negative role and Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha in an important role.
Reportedly, AR Murugadoss will be co-producing this film along with Fox Star Studios.
