The Kaththi controversy, believed to have ended when Minjur Gopi withdrew his case against AR Murugadoss, has taken a new turn. AR Murugadoss has filed a defamation case against Minjur Gopi. In an interview to The Times of India, Murugadoss said that he wanted to take the plagiarism allegation seriously to deter people like Minjur Gopi from filing more cases. Murugadoss further added that he hadn’t ‘given in’ or ‘accepted any demands’, as the ‘claims were baseless’.
The director also revealed that he has moved on and will start working on his Hindi project.
Minjur Gopi, in his response, has told The Times of India that he would like to refrain from discussing his further moves.
