She recently returned from Seattle in the US where she shot her portions. The second schedule of the film is currently on with Madhavan, Anushka Shetty and others.

In an interview to the DC, Anjali said, “Unlike the cop roles we play in Indian films, this one required me to take special classes to understand how the cops behave and work in the US. From their body language to the way they speak and hold their guns, it was all a very new experience and I really enjoyed prepping for this character.”

Director Hemant Madhukar made his debut in 2010 with A Flat, and later directed Vastadu Naa Raju, and Mumbai 125 KM. This is his first film with Anjali, Madhavan and Anushka Shetty.

The story centers on the murder of an important character and the subsequent investigation. Hollywood actor Michael Madson, and Shalini Pandey reportedly have important roles. The film is being shot in Telugu and Tamil, and the makers are planning a release in Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and also in English as about 60 per cent of the team are from Hollywood.

Meanwhile, Anushka, who was recently filming for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, has responded to rumours about her ankle injury. She said on her Instagram page today that she was healthy and happily shooting for Silence in Seattle.

She recently also confirmed signing up for a heroine-centric film in Tamil. Shooting for this will begin from August, after her portions for Silence wrap up.
