Anu (Ritika Singh) is childish, possessive, aggressive and the wife of Arjun (Ashok Selvan), the last being a hasty decision that Arjun is unhappy about. Much like in the teaser, he isn’t able to accept a mere friend as his wife but seems to be interested in his college ‘Akka’ Meera (Vani Bhojan) who enters his life out of nowhere. He is found narrating all of this to Vijay Sethupathi and Ramesh Thilak who decide to offer him a ‘golden ticket’, something that is capable of changing his life the way he wants. Once he gets hold of the ticket, we witness Anu in an engagement with another groom, Arjun almost being killed by a lorry… Supposedly a director in the film, Gautham Vasudev Menon is found commencing the teaser with the word ‘Action’.

Actor Suriya took to Twitter to release the trailer.

Apart from the lead trio and extended cameo duo, the romantic fantasy drama also stars Sha Ra as Mani, MS Bhaskar, Gajaraj, and others in important roles. Oh My Kadavule has Leon James composing music, Vidhu Ayyanna handling the camera, Ramalingam on art and Boopathi Selvaraj on the editing table. Dinesh Manoharan is handling costumes and Ramkumar is choreographing stunts.

“We do digital marketing and promote films. One day, Ashwath (the director) came for something else and narrated the one-liner. I really liked it and thought why don’t we do it?,” said co-producer Abinaya Selvam to Silverscreen who is also the co-founder of Uptown Ideas, the digital marketer for the film.

“I was looking to do something different and it was just a decision taken on the spur of the moment… I think it was the story. We’ve been working on the script for a year now and we went to the Axess Film Factory (it previously did Raatchasan). The team there loved it and decided to bankroll this,” adds Abinaya.

Four songs – ‘Friendship Anthem’, ‘Haiyoo Haiyoo’, ‘Kadhaipoma’ and, ‘Enada Life Idhu’ from the album have been released by the makers. Recently, it was announced that the theatrical rights of the film have been acquired by Sakthivelan B’s Sakthi Film Factory. The film has also been certified U/A.

The film, which wrapped up shoot last year at the end of October, is slated for release on Valentine’s Day, 2020.
