Director GNR Kumaravelan’s upcoming project might star Alia Bhatt as the female lead. Confirming the news, the director said that he approached Alia personally and she seemed interested in the project. “Nothing is finalised yet. We should be able to confirm Alia and the producer for the film in the next few days. As of now, only the male lead – Vikram Prabhu – and music director Kashif Rafiq have been confirmed,” he added.
Kumaravelan, known for the critically-acclaimed Haridas, believes that this film will take him to the next level and is quite sure about casting Vikram Prabhu as the lead. The actor fits the script perfectly, he said. The director also added that three songs composed by Kashif, A R Rahman’s 20-year-old nephew, are “fitting in perfectly” as well.
