Akshara Haasan To Debut In Web-Series With The Adaptation Of Sheeja Jose’s Book Good Bye Girl

The novel Good Bye Girl, written by Indian author Sheeja Jose, is being adapted to screen as a web-series and will star Akshara Haasan in the lead. Sohail Malkai and Girish Johar are backing the project.

Published in 2015, the novel is a crime fiction. Sheeja Jose, who is from Calicut, Kerala, was inspired by the writings of Sidney Sheldon. It tells the story of a 15-year-old girl who goes from being a victim of a vicious hate crime to a notorious mass-murderer.

A press release stated that Akshara Haasan will be undergoing intense training to prepare for the role. The series will be extensively shot in Delhi and Bangkok.

Akshara, daughter of Kamal Haasan, made her acting debut next to Dhanush and Amitabh Bachchan in Shamitabh. She will also been seen in a film with actor Vikram. The film will be produced under her father’s Raajkamal Films and will be directed by Rajesh M Selva.
