Akhila Kishore will be a part of Santhanam‘s second film, where he plays the hero. The actress debuted in Tamil earlier this year with a starring role in R Parthiban’s Kathai Thiraikkathai Vasanam Iyakkam. Speaking to Silverscreen, Akila said, “I met the team last week and did a make-up test. They thought I fit the character, and immediately signed me on.” She plays a “typical Tamil girl” in the film and will begin shooting for the project soon.
Tentatively titled Dhillukku Dhuttu, the film also has Ashna Zaveri in the lead. The story has been penned by Santhanam himself and will be directed by his former colleagues from Lollu Sabha – Muruganandam and Ananth. The actor is producing the film under his home banner, Handmade Films, and is planning to shoot in Pondicherry.
