After a series of action movies, actor Ajay Devgn will next feature in an urban romantic comedy written and produced by Luv Ranjan. Luv Ranjan is best known for his Pyar ka Punchnama franchise.

The film will be a quirky take on modern-day relationships and pitch Devgn in a role that resonates with today’s youth. Luv Ranjan spoke to Times of India about presenting the actor, known for intense roles, in a fresh avatar. Ranjan said, “The way I see it, this character will come most naturally to Ajay. His uber-cool personality in real life has seldom been explored. There is a subtlety in his humour that blends perfectly with my writing, ” he said.
The movie will be jointly produced by Luv Ranjan and his partner Ankur Garg. It will also mark the directorial debut of editor Akiv Ali. The critically-acclaimed editor has been a part of blockbusters like Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani, Barfi, Pyar Ka Punchnama, Agneepath and Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s Jagga Jasoos.
