Abhimanyu Singh, who delivered notable performances as the antagonist in two Vijay films Velayutham and Thalaivaa, has now been signed to play the villain in Karthi’s next film Dheeran- Adhigaaram Ondru. The movie is a cop drama directed by Sathuranga Vettai director Vinoth.

Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead. The film will have Karthi play the role of a cop once again. It will be bankrolled by SR Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures with Ghibran composing the music. The project is expected to go on floors in February.
Abhimanyu Singh began his Bollywood career in 2001 by acting in Amitabh Bachchan’s Aks. He received critical acclaim for his role in Gulaal (2009) which was directed by Anuragh Kashyap. He was last seen in Vikram’s 10 Enradhukulla.
