Directed by cinematographer turned director C Prem Kumar, 96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha released in October and went on to become a critical and commercial hit. A love story between the lead characters Ram and Jaanu, the movie contains portions where the story was set during their school days. And Gouri Kishan’s portrayal of the school-going Jaanu was much appreciated.

Gouri Kishan, while talking about her new movie, said: “There is a lot of thought that has gone into this movie’s script. It is very interesting and I loved it. It has emotions, fantasy and much more. Moreover, I’d love to work with Sunny sir, who is no conventional actor and keeps experimenting with his roles and style. I loved his performance in Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi.” A native of Vaikom, Kottayam, the actress is currently pursuing her graduation in Bengaluru.
