Directed by Anita Udeep of Kulir 100 fame, the film 90 ml starring Oviya in the lead is said to have cleared the censor and has been certified ‘A’. Meanwhile the trailer of the film was unveiled recently.
The trailer, which is nearly two minutes long, features Oviya in a bold tom-boy character. She is seen as a carefree person, who just wants to have fun. It also features four women, Oviya’s friends accompanying her everywhere. When the trailer begins, a guy asks her if she knows who he is. She says Naa Bigg Boss uh ye paathava da (I have seen Bigg Boss itself) – a reference to her participation in the show Bigg Boss Tamil. While the trailer begins on a funny note, it suddenly takes a turn as the friends start to cry – each for their own reasons. There is also a crime twist. The trailer also has Simbu, who is expected to play a cameo in the film.

The film’s music is by Silambarasan, the actor made his debut as a music director with Santhanam’s Sakka Podu Podu Raja. Oviya has recorded a song ‘Marana Matta’ along with Harish Kalyan for the film and the song talks about getting drunk on New Year’s Eve. Produced by Udeep under the banner Nviz Entertainment, the film is currently in the post production stage and is set to hit the screens soon.
According to the director, the film is from the viewpoint of contemporary women. “90 ml is all about a group of five women and their desires in life. Most of the women-centric films fail to discuss what women really want. So this is going to be a bold yet fun and entertaining film. Besides showcasing the wants of contemporary women, the story also has a lot of exciting things like what a group of girls would talk about when they get together. I’m going to present a new flavor, and it is definitely going to be a trendy film,” the director told Firstpost.
