Mundasupatti has completed 50 days at the box office. The ’80s comedy movie proved to be a big hit with the audience and has been running successfully all over the state. Directed by newbie Ram Kumar, the film follows photographers Gopi and Azhagumani as they travel to a village with superstitious residents. The film managed to rake in over Rs 3 crores in the first few days, making producer CV Kumar a very happy man. The movie has also made a star out of Ramadoss, the actor who played Muniskanth in the film.

Plans are on to make a sequel, and the makers have devised a contest to get the audience more involved in the scripting. Said a spokesperson for the film, “We focused on the superstition about taking photographs in the first film. For the sequel, we want the public to tell us which superstition we can focus on.” The best entry will be ‘handsomely rewarded’ by the team, and the spokesperson added that the contest has received very good response from the public.
