The trailer starts off with Kamal saying that its fine to belong to any religion, but extremely wrong to be a traitor to one’s nation. The one-minute-forty-five-seconds trailer is pacy and action-packed with high octane stunt sequences, along with a couple of dialogues and intimate scenes between Haasan and Pooja Kumar.

We also get to see Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri as Viz, in his Kathak disguise, suggesting that his character might stick around for a while in the sequel too. The video then gives us a glimpse of all the main characters in the film- Kamal Haasan, Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah  and Pooja Kumar. Apart from this, we also hear that Nassar plays a pivotal role in the film.

Talking about the film, Haasan said that the movie is very faithful to the first part and not just a sequel but can also be called a prequel in some sense. The actor also mentioned that he is confident that the sequel might not face censor issues like the first movie, but he is also ready to face it in case something comes up. While Vishwaroopam was screened under political pressure, Haasan is certain that it won’t happen this time.

This film is very close to me and everyone who is a part of this film has worked very hard. I also want to thank Aascar Films and V Ravichandran. It is the faith of the people in our work that makes us stronger. I hope you all like what we have made with love and passion for you all.”

The film will hit the screens worldwide on August 10. Meanwhile, Haasan is getting ready to host the second season of Bigg Boss.
