Telugu blockbuster Pelli Choopulu is all set to be remade into Tamil as Gautham Menon has secured the remake rights of the movie. A report in Deccan Chronicle states that talks are on to cast actor Vishnu Vishal in the lead role. Actress Tamannaah is already on board to reprise the role of Ritu Varma.
Earlier, actors Nivin Pauly and Vaibhav Reddy were considered to play the lead. The report quotes Vaibhav as saying, “It is true that I was considered for the movie. I even gave a screen-test for the remake. There haven’t been any talks further.”
The remake will be helmed by Senthil Veerasamy. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised.
