Vishal’s remake of the Telugu film, Temper, has been titled Ayogya. With Raashi Khanna and debut director Venkat Mohan, a former assistant to AR Murugadoss, the project is being filmed in and around East Coast Road, Chennai.
According to the film’s spokesperson, the movie is scheduled to release on Pongal 2019. This means that it will clash with Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam, the first look of which was launched recently.
The project was formally launched recently in the presence of Vishal and his family. AR Murugadoss was also present, along with R Parthiepan, Kalaipuli S Thanu, KS Ravikumar among others. “A pooja was done on the ECR sets of the movie. Following this, the director has canned the first shot,” an assistant to Vishal told Silverscreen.
Parthiepan and KS Ravikumar have important roles in the film. The actor tweeted a photo from the launch and said:

A spokesperson for the film said that the Tamil version will not be a frame to frame remake, and will be adapted to suit the Tamil audience. “The core plot will most likely remain untouched. Vishal sir is quite taken with the way the original handled an important social issue and so that will stay,” he said.
Temper, an action film written by Vakkantham Vamsi and directed by Puri Jagannadh, had Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. Ranveer Singh is starring in the Hindi remake of the film.
Ayogya is Vishal’s 26th film as an actor. Sam CS is the music director.
At present, Vishal is gearing up for the release of Sandakozhi 2, a sequel to the 2006 movie of the same name. Keerthy Suresh takes over from Meera Jasmine for the new film. The songs from the Lingusamy directed film were unveiled earlier this month.
