The first look poster, which was unveiled on Monday, shows actor Vishal sitting atop a police jeep holding a beer bottle.

According to a report, the actor said, “I was just holding the beer bottle and not drinking. Holding doesn’t mean drinking. I play a cop in the film and there is a scene in which the bottle is the evidence for my investigation. That is what we tried conveying in the poster.”

On Tuesday, politician and founder of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), Dr S Ramadoss, had tweeted asking Vishal to withdraw the first-look poster immediately. He had said, “What is the actor trying to tell his fans through this poster? I expect some social responsibility from the Secretary of Nadigar Sangam. I had written to him about banning scenes that show smoking, but now, I see him holding beer bottles.”

A spokesperson for Ayogya told Silverscreen: “The film is a commercial cop thriller which will focus on child sexual harassment. Fifty percent of the shoot is complete and the movie is expected to release in the month of January or February.”
