Actors Vishal, Karthi and Nasser recently met actor Rajinikanth to request his support for the forthcoming Nadigar Sangam Elections. Reportedly, the trio also met Kamal Haasan to gain his support. However, Kamal Haasan refused to comment on the issue. Nasser will be contesting the post of President against R Sarathkumar, while Vishal stands against Radha Ravi for the post of Secretary. According to sources, the three will also meet with actor Vijay, and have already met actor Ajith.
The Nadigar Sangam Elections had earlier been scheduled for July 15, but were postponed after Vishal filed a caveat petition. An announcement with the official election date is expected shortly.
