Director Manikandan, of Kaakka Muttai fame, has confirmed earlier reports that Vijay Sethupathi would be acting in Manikandan’s third film, which is scheduled to go on floors in September. Manikandan said, “This film will be realistic with a style similar to [that of] Kaakka Muttai. The story revolves around two main characters and is loaded with black humour.”
Manikandan also said that Vijay Sethupathi is excited about the film and will start work once he completes his current commitments, which includes Iraivi with Karthik Subbaraj and an untitled project with Arunkumar. Manikandan, on the other hand, has already completed the shoot for his second film, Kuttramae Dhandanai. The two have been good friends since 2008.
