According to reports, Manikandan, the director of the widely-acclaimed Kaakka Muttai has approached Vijay Sethupathi for his next project. Vijay Sethupathi has apparently listened to the script, but is yet to confirm his inclusion in the film.

Vijay has a slew of releases lined up, including Idam Porul Yaeval, Mellisai and Orange Mittai. Naanum Rowdythaan and the yet-untitled Nalan Kumarasamy film are currently in post-production. He will soon begin work on Iraivi with Karthik Subbaraj, and also with Arunkumar of Pannaiyarum Padminiyum fame.
Meanwhile, director Manikandan has completed shooting his next film – Kuttramae Dhandanai – with Vidharth. It is being said that the shooting of this crime-drama was done even before the release of Kaakka Muttai.
