report in Sify, says that the film may be delayed because of the two big-ticket Deepavali releases – Sarkar and Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta. Of the two, Vijay’s Sarkar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures, is a clear favourite. However there is no official confirmation from Thimiru Pudichavan makers regarding the change of date.

Other films that may also release during Deepavali are Jayam Ravi’s Adanga Maru, Vijay Sethupathi’s Seethakaathi, Nakul’s Sei, and Udhaiyanidhi Stalin’s Utharavu Maharaja. Jyothika starrer Kaatrin Mozhi may also release on the same day, but this is yet to be confirmed.

Thimiru Pudichavan, produced by Vijay Antony Film Corporation, stars Vijay Antony and Nivetha Pethuraj, with Lakshmy Ramakrishanan and Daniel Balaji playing pivotal roles. It is directed by Ganeshaa. The film is titled Roshagadu in Telugu. The teaser of the film, released earlier this month, shows Vijay Antony playing a rowdy cop. While actress Nivetha Pethuraj is seen performing daredevil stunts unlike her usual characters in films.

The music for the film is composed by Vijay Antony himself and cinematography is by Mukesh, an associate of PS Vinod. It is said that many in the technical team, including the editor and art director were part of Vikram Vedha.

Apart from this Vijay Antony also has Kolaikaran which is touted to be a crime thriller, directed by Andrew Louis of Leelai fame. After receiving much appreciation for his negative role in Irumbu Thirai, Arjun Sarja plays a pivotal role in Kolaikaran. Other cast and crew details are yet to be announced.
