Vela Ramamoorthy will play Dhanush’s father in Enai Nokki Paayum Thota. In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, the actor revealed that his role in the project will be a refreshing change from his previous films.
“So far, I have only played village roles and ENPT will see me in a modern avatar. When I heard that I would be essaying the role of Dhanush’s father, I instantly agreed. I will be sporting casual tees and jeans in the film, and I even learnt horse riding,” he said.

The actor is also busy adapting his book, Kuttra Parambarai, for the big screen. The film is to be directed by Bala and is expected to go on floors in May.
“The greatest challenge in writing a script for Bala is that I wouldn’t want him to edit or cut anything that I write. Before Kutra Parambarai, he will do another film and I have an important character to play in that movie,” he said.
Apart from Enai Nokki Paayu Thota, Vela Ramamoorthy has major roles in Araam, Thondan and Padhungi Paayanum Thala.
