Actresses Simran and Trisha, who were last seen in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta, are all set to work together in an action adventure film again. The movie is to be directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan and bankrolled by All In Pictures.

Not much is known about this new project yet, but this would be the third film for the two after Petta and two decade old film Jodi, in which Trisha had a cameo role as Simran’s friend. Trisha has come a long way since.
Simran, who took a break from films after she married, has been working in films on and off since Gautham Menon’s Vaaranam Aayiram starring opposite Suriya. She is trying her hands in character roles. Recently, she played the role of antagonist in Sivakarthikeyan starrer Seema Raja. She is currently working on the movie, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, directed by actor Madhavan. Besides this, she is also working in Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram and Arvind Swami’s Vanangamudi.

2018 was great year for Trisha as her role of Jaanu in the film 96 was highly appreciated by audience. She also made her Malayalam debut with the film Hey Jude starring opposite Nivin Pauly. Currently, she is working in the movie Garjanai which is a remake of Hindi film NH10.
Director Sumath Radhakrishnan made his debut with Sathuram 2 which got positive reviews. This will be his second project. The movie stars two leading ladies of Tamil Cinema and is being described as an action adventurous film, leading some to believe this may be a woman-centric film, following the success of Nayanthara’s Aramm and Kolamavu Kokila. There’s also Lady Superstar’s Airaa, waiting for the release. Adding to the list, the remake of Hindi superhit Queen — Paris Paris, which stars Kajal Aggarwal.
