The actor is best known for his role as the antagonist Kalakeya king in Baahubali: The Beginning. He has also worked in Kannada and Malayalam industries. This is his second Tamil movie after Prabhu Deva’s Yung Mung Sung.

Speaking about the film, director Saran said in a press note that it is a comedy-entertainer set in Perambur. “The protagonist is a railway contractor and a local don. I wanted someone who has the look of a gangster and Arav was my first choice. Kavya Thapar is popular for her work in the Telugu industry. Nasser, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Chawms, Aditya, Yogi Babu, and others are part of the cast.”

The director, who made the super-hit Vasool Raja MBBS back in 2004, added that the Kamal Haasan-starrer was initially titled Market Raja MBBS but they decided against it. He said that this film too will be packed with comedy and action.

The first-look poster of Radikaa Sarathkumar, who plays Arav’s mother and a don in the film, released recently. She will be mimicking her father MR Radha’s body language and voice in the film, the director said in reports.

Actress Rohini is also part of the cast and plays a speech and hearing impaired woman working at Amma Unavagam. Simon K King is the music composer for the film and Saran’s younger brother KV Guhan handles cinematography. Reports say that the shooting is almost complete and release announcements can be expected soon.

Meanwhile, Aarav, who shot to fame with Bigg Boss, has the upcoming action-thriller Raja Bheema with Naresh Sampath under production. Radikaa Sarathkumar has director Vasantha Balan’s Jail, and Kuruthi Attam, Vaanam Kottatum and other films.
