Supriya Yarlagadda Set To Make A Comeback With Goodachari

When Supriya Yarlagadda and Pawan Kalyam made their debut in Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi in 1996, it was the coming together of two major film families. Soon after, the actress bid goodbye to movies and hasn’t come in any film in the last two decades. But she has been handling the production activities of Annapurna Studios.

But after the long hiatus, she is ready to face the camera again. Supriya will be playing a key role in actor Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film Goodachari. What’s more, her role is that of an officer in service. She will be seen as a no-nonsense officer with the Chief Task Investigation Office of the intelligence agency RAW who goes by the name of Nadiya Qureshi. Adivi Sesh plays a spy in the film.

A source from the film’s unit shares about Supriya’s casting, “When she was first approached for the role, she wasn’t sure if she should do it considering she hasn’t done a film in a very long time. However, she loved how the character develops over the length of the film and decided to be a part of the film. Director Sashikiran Tikka and Sesh were both very keen that she does the role.”

Directed by Sashikiram Tikka, the film stars Sobhita Dhulipala, who was seen Kaalakaandi and Chef, as the female lead. Interestingly, despite being a Telugu, this is the first time Sobhita is doing a Tollywood film. With dialogues and screenplay by Abburi Ravi, Shaneil Deo is the film’s cinematographer.

The film team has been shooting back to back at various locations across the country like Himachal Pradesh, New Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. A major chunk of the film was shot in the US too. And after a very long schedule, the team recently wrapped up the shoot.

The team will soon be releasing the trailer.
