Bollywood singer Sunidhi Chauhan will be making her acting debut in a short film titled Playing Priya. A fantasy-thriller, the film will be directed by Arif Ali, who had previously directed Lekar Hum Deewana Dil in 2014.
According to an Indian Express report, Chauhan and the director had expressed their excitement over her debut. “I always wanted to act but never thought that I would enjoy it so much. The whole experience was just awesome,” she said in a statement.

The film will be released on a digital platform in association with Humaramovie, a digital media studio that recently released a short film called The Virgins starring Pia Bajpai, Akshay Oberoi, and Divyendu Sharma.
In the meantime, Chauhan is giving concerts across Canada and the USA. The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
