Actors Sneha and Dhanush are teaming up after a long gap in RS Durai Senthilkumar’s film, first schedule shooting for which is going on currently. Many reports speculate that Sneha might be seen as Dhanush’s mother in the film. However a source close to the film has denied this rumour.
The source told Silverscreen, “These are speculations being made by the media unnecessarily. No such thing is confirmed.” Reports regarding Dhanush’s dual role in the film, and the participation of another female lead, are also yet to be confirmed.
“Currently Dhanush sir is shooting two films back to back – this movie and Asuran by director Vetrimaaran. He completed one schedule of Asuran, and started this film. Next month he will again move to Asuran,” the source added. Details about the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be revealed. The film was announced earlier this month by producers Sathya Jyothi Films, who tweeted pictures of the first day of shoot in Courtallam.

Some reports say Dhanush will play both father and son in this movie, with Sneha as one of the female leads. Music for the film is by Mervin and Vivek, and cinematography by Om Prakash. Dhanush and Sneha were last seen together 13 years back in Selvaraghavan’s gangster film Pudhupettai, a box office hit which earned a cult fan following.
Dhanush previously played a dual role in Durai Senthilkumar’s award-winning Kodi, a political drama starring Trisha as the antagonist. In addition to Asuran and his film with director Senthilkumar, Dhanush has announced a film each with Mari Selvaraj, Karthik Subbaraj, and Aanand L Rai. He also has a movie co-starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Srikanth, and the Vada Chennai franchise.
Meanwhile, Sneha, who took a break from cinema after her wedding with actor Prasanna, will next be seen in the Dulquer Salman-starrer Vaan. She has the Kannada film Muniratna Kurukshetra, by director Naganna. Her last release was the recent Telugu film Vinaya Vidheya Rama.
