The contestants were asked to dress up and act like they were lodged in a ‘mental hospital’. They took on roles of a doctor, ward boy, nurse and attender, while others played people with mind-related issues.  Needless to say, this episode drew a lot of flak from social media.

Haasan, on Saturday’s episode, called out the task and said that the show wasn’t too important to him if such insensitivity prevailed.

“The task that made fun of mentally-challenged people was not in a good taste. And, I’m actually angry about it. We all have social responsibilities. You may ask me: Why, have you not played such a role in your films? But, that type of character would not have been used for comic relief; he would be the protagonist. I request them not to repeat such activities on the show, hereafter. If it happens again, this show is not important to me,” he said

Saturday’s episode was high on drama, especially after the show’s beloved contestant – Oviya – made her exit.

On Friday, a man named Cine Saravanan filed a PIL in the Madras High Court asking that the reality TV show be stopped from airing with immediate effect. In the petition, Saravanan stated that the show portrayed female participants in a vulgar and obscene manner. He also alleged that the show hurt the sentiments of certain sections of society, namely slum dwellers.
