A source close to the actor has denied these reports as rumours, and said that talks are not on. SJ Suryah reportedly met Boney Kapoor in Chennai last week, which lead to speculations that they discussed the new project and SJ Suryah even agreed to be part of the film. However, sources confirm that this was not a work-related meeting.

SJ Suryah had said at the Monster press meet recently that he will pick his roles with care and make films like Monster for the next ten years. “At a time when people watch films for star value, it feels good that crowds come in for good stories as well,” he said.

The actor is known for his role as the antagonist in films like Spyder and Mersal. He said about playing negative roles in the future, “I don’t want to play a regular villain with no purpose. My roles in Mersal and Spyder were strong. Those are the kind of roles I’d like to play.”

Meanwhile, hoot for Ajith-H Vinoth’s film Nerkonda Paarvai wrapped up recently and work on Ajith’s next has reportedly begun. The filmmakers are planning for a March 2020 release on Ajith’s birthday. An announcement is not out yet. Talks with AR Rahman may be on for music. Boney Kapoor said in an interview earlier that he signed two films with Vinoth and Ajith, and it is likely that he will release them back-to-back.

Nerkonda Paarvai is currently in post-production stages and is gearing up for release on August 10 as planned. It is the Tamil remake of Taapssee Pannu-starrer Pink, and stars Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang in the lead with Vidya Balan in a cameo role.
