The cast of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat is getting bigger. After Priyanka Chopra, Tabu and Disha Patani joined the star cast, the latest news is that Shashank Arora, of Titli fame, will play Salman Khan’s brother in the film.
Shashank was also seen at Cannes 2018 with the cast of Nandita Das’ much anticipated directorial venture Manto.
As for Shashank’s role in Bharat, a source told The Indian Express: ““Shashank was recently finalised for the pivotal role of Salman’s brother. Shashank has proved his mettle as an actor in his last films and he perfectly suits this role. Priyanka Chopra and Disha Patani play Salman’s love interests. Sunil Grover plays the role of his best friend.”
Shashank has been part of films like Lipstick Under My Burkha, Titli, Brahman Naman, which have been appreciated at various international film festivals. Bharat will probably his first mainstream Bollywood film.
Meanwhile, Salman and Tabu last worked together in Sohail Khan’s Jai Ho. However, nothing much has been revealed about Tabu’s role in the film.
Shooting for the film will commence mid-July and the film will be extensively shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab, Malta and Abu Dhabi.
