Scriptwriter-director Vikramaditya Motwane’s next film has Shahid Kapoor in the lead, said a DNA report. Earlier, there were rumours that the director had approached Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. However, Kareena dismissed the rumours during the Bajrangi Bhaijaan promotions.
The DNA report adds that Saif kept Motwane waiting, and asked him to alter the film’s script, before finally backing out of the project. After that, Shahid Kapoor was roped in to play the male lead in the project.
Motwane has directed two highly critically acclaimed films in the past – Udaan and Lootera.
