Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ Is About Not So Perfect People

Shah Rukh Khan At A Car Launch

Shah Rukh Khan’s next with Aanand L Raai, Zero, is a story of two imperfect people who fall in love. A spokesperson for Red Chillies Entertainment, one of the producers of the film, told Silverscreen that Zero is not just about Shah Rukh Khan. The female leads, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, are integral to the script, just the way director Aanand L Raai imagined them to be. “Zero is a journey, we can say. Anushka, Katrina have equally important roles as SRK. They come together to form Zero. Without them, Zero will literally be zero,” the spokesperson punned.

“The film celebrates the perfect love story that we all dream of. But, the catch is that this love story belongs to two not so perfect people. It will appeal to people because it is definitely not the sort of  fantastic love stories we get to see in cinema. It is all too real, and it is very grounded. And that is what sets Zero apart from the rest,” the spokesperson added.

Earlier today, Shah Rukh Khan thanked his costars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif for bringing his upcoming Zero to life. In a series of tweets, SRK shared posters of the film. These posters also offered the audience a first look at the characters played by Sharma and Kaif onscreen.

Sharma can be seen in a wheelchair, suggesting that the character she plays onscreen is disabled.

Kaif, on the other hand, is seen in a red dress, bending a little to share an intimate moment with Shah Rukh Khan.

Zero follows a person suffering from dwarfism. He falls in love with a superstar, and it is this aspect of his life that the film focusses on. Aanand L Raai has said that the film will portray the emotional incompleteness in our lives.
