The shooting of Meen Kuzhambum Maan Paanaiyum, starring Kalidas Jayaram and Ashna Zaveri, began in Chennai a few weeks ago. The second schedule of the film, helmed by debut director Amudeshwar, is set to begin in Malaysia after Pongal.

Actor Prabhu plays Kalidasan’s father in the movie. Meen Kuzhambum Maan Paanaiyum is being produced by Dushyanth, grandson of legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan.
Ashna Zaveri said that she plays a simple college girl and that her camaraderie with Kalidas will be similar to the cartoon ‘Tom and Jerry’. She added that though the title might give the impression that the movie might be a rural subject, the story is quite urban.
The movie also talks about a special bonding between Kalidas and Actor Prabhu‘s characters who play father and son in the movie.
