Sam CS has been hired as the music composer on Madhavan’s upcoming film Rocketry: The Nambi effect. The two had previously worked together on Pushkar Gayathri’s film Vikram Vedha.
Elated to be part of the project, Sam SC wrote on Twitter that he never expected to be part of a film such as this and considered it to be a blessing. Calling every frame an artistic mastery, the composer said that he was enjoying working on it.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect marks the directorial debut of Madhavan. Though Ananth Mahadevan was initially attached to direct, the Aksar director had to drop out due to unavoidable circumstances, forcing Madhavan to take up the mantle.
Apart from directing, Madhavan also plays the protagonist S Nambi Narayanan, the ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer. It was recently reported that Simran will play the lead with him in the film about the scientist’s life. They last worked together 17 years back in the 2002 Mani Ratnam film Kannathil Muthamittal.
The ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan was falsely charged with espionage, leaking defence secrets in 1994, and he spent 55 days in jail. Years later his name was cleared, and the Supreme Court ordered the Kerala government to pay him a compensation of Rs 50 lakh.
Madhavan as the scientist will be seen in all stages of his life – from 25 to 75 years. The film’s first look poster released in December and Madhavan said he was doing his best to get to where Nambi was, “Even if it is only look-wise.”

Meanwhile, Sam CS currently awaits the release of the Vishal starrer Ayogya. He has also composed the songs for AL Vijay’s upcoming Prabhu Deva starrer Devi 2. The latest releasing featuring the composer’s works was Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum. The composer also has a slew of projects including Gorilla, K13, Kaithi and Jada.
