According to sources, Premam star Sai Pallavi will not be a part of Ajith Kumar’s AK 57, as she has already signed a Telugu film. Titled America Abbai Telangana Ammai, the Telugu film is being directed by Sekhar Kammula and stars Varun Tej. AK 57 (also Thala 57) was launched on July 7, and is being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.
Since AK57‘s launch, there had been much speculation about the film’s female lead. According to sources, actress Kajal Aggarwal is likely to star in the film. However, no official statement has been issued from her side.
AK57 is scheduled to begin shooting sometime this month, and will have director Siva and cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy collaborating with Ajith for the third time. The trio have previously worked together in Veeram (2014) and Vedhalam (2015).

Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi’s America Abbai Telangana Ammai is about an NRI (Varun Tej) who falls in love with a girl (Sai Pallavi) from Telangana, according to an IBTimes report. The film is reportedly scheduled to go on floors on 25 July.
