Ritika Singh In Talks To Star In Muthiah – Suriya Film


Actress Ritika Singh has been approached to play actor Suriya’s sister in an upcoming movie. The film’s director Muthaiah confirmed the news and said, “So, far talks have been going and the actresses have been approached but nothing has been finalised yet. It will take another week to finalise the cast.”

According to reports, the film will be an emotional drama. Like Muthiah’s previous films – Komban, Kutty Puli, Marudhu, this new film will also explore themes of love and violence in Tamilnadu’s countryside. This movie will  reportedly focus on the relationship between brother and sister. 

Actor Rajkiran, who previously featured in the director’s Komban, has been approached to play Suriya’s father while actress Keerthy Suresh is expected to essay the female lead in the project. Praveen KL, the editor of Kabali, and composer D Imman will join the film’s crew while Actor Soori is expected to have a major role in the film. Lyricists Vairamuthu and Pa Vijay have been enlisted to write the songs.

KE Gnanavel Raja will bankroll the project under his Studio Green banner.

Meanwhile, after the release of her critically acclaimed performance in Irudhi Suttru, Ritika Singh has garnered a lot of media attention. She will be seen next in Aandavan Kattalai, directed by Manikandan of Kakka Muttai fame. She stars alongside actor Vijay Sethupathi in the light hearted entertainer that revolves around the issue of fake passports. The movie is scheduled to release on September 23.

Actor Suriya is currently busy with the shooting of Singham 3. Directed by Hari, Singam 3 stars Shruti Haasan and Anushka Shetty in major roles. The movie has music by Harris Jayaraj and is gearing up for a Diwali release.

Bankrolled by Studio Green’s KE Gnanavel Raja, the filming began earlier this year.
