More Trouble For Padmavati

Despite the Supreme Court rejecting the plea seeking the stay on the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavati, controversies continue. BJP MP Subramanian Swamy said that the film was funded from Dubai and the funding has to be investigated by the government.
Arjun Gupta, a member of the censor board and also a BJP leader, said that he has written a letter to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and demanded that Bhansali should be tried for treason for hurting national sentiments. He also said that Bhansali will continue directing such films if immediate action is not taken.
Hindus Should Rise Before It Is Too Late, Says Malayalam Director Major Ravi
Malayalam filmmaker Major Ravi’s alleged leaked audio clip has been circulating on social media. In the clip, Ravi asks Hindus to rise against the attack. This message is reportedly his reaction to Malabar Devaswom Board taking over Guruvayoor Parthasarathy Temple.
According to a report in The Indian Express, Ravi expresses his anger over the Hindu community’s silence in the alleged leaked video. He also wants Hindus to rise before it is too late. Ravi said, “today ‘they’ are getting into your temples, tomorrow ‘they’ will get into your homes. If you don’t rise now if you want to stop this if you don’t collect strength now…..Tell this to each one (Hindu).”
