Arjuna is a political drama and will see the actor play both father and son, reports HansIndia. The female leads will be played by Maryam Zakaria and Sakshi Gulati.

The technical crew comprises cinematographer Madhu Naidu and music composer Vandemataram Srinivas. Arjuna has been produced by CK Entertainment. It is widely believed that the makers have chosen the release date to cash in on the political climate prevalent in the State.

The actor, known for his cop thrillers in the 1990s, is currently shooting for Kalki. The film is directed by Prashanth Varma (of Awe fame), and is an investigative thriller set in 1983.

Kalki made news recently when Rajasekhar met with an accident during the shoot. He said in a statement, “Ten days ago, I was injured on the sets of Kalki while shooting a stunt sequence. I couldn’t take rest because we could not stop shoot, the film has a big cast. I am recovering slowly. I’m much better now.”

Kullu Manali was one of the shooting locations for the movie. The crew happened to be there during the recent landslides. The actor said, “A landslide on the route halted our journey. But nothing has happened to anyone. We are all safe. We have resumed our journey and I am looking forward to the  shooting.” Karthi’s recent release Dev was the other film that had to stop shoot because of landslides in Kullu Manali.

Rajashekhar was last seen in PSV Garuda Vega. The movie was written and directed by Praveen Sattaru, who earlier made Guntur Talkies. Released in 2017, the film went on to become a success.
